The highest score in the following age groups at each level is awarded the trophy, 8 & 9's, 10 & 11's, 12-14's & 15+'s (4 trophy's are awarded at each level).
When the entries came in for the competition at the weekend the Novice girls 8 & 9 age group & the Intermediate girls 10 & 11 age group were both very large (had over 30 entry's) so we split the age groups so they had more of a chance of winning a medal. As there is only one trophy for each of the originally set age groups the trophy is then awarded to the gymnast with the highest score over both ages. Basically if there are more than 30 entry's in 1 age group they will be separated into their individual ages to compete but the trophy will go to the gymnast with the highest score across the both age groups.
I hope that makes sense to everyone.
Hope you all had a good day today. The staff at the leisure centre were very appreciative for your assistance in clearing the equipment at the end of the competition so a huge thank you to everyone from both myself and the staff.
There was a black pair of gloves left downstairs on the mat trolley that was near the scorers table so if they are yours then let me know.
Also one of the judges thinks they left a pen behind. It has Harrods on it and has a small westie dog dangling from it. If anyone knows of it's whereabouts could you contact me please as she would be very pleased to see it again. If you have judges that are not on this emailing list could you ask them for me please as well. Thank you.
Finally you should find attached today's Sussex Floor & Vault competition scores.
Thank you again to everyone for helping today be a success.
