Judges' Workshop
There is a judges' workshop on Sunday 29th January. This will be held at Uckfield Gym Club and will start at 9am. The latest it will finish is 5pm.
Coaches are also more than welcome to come along so you know what the judges are looking for but I would ask that all clubs get as many judges there as possible so that at competitions we have as many judges as possible judging that have attended the workshop & are therefore expecting the same standard from the gymnasts.M
The aim of the workshop is to go through deductions for the 4 piece criteria as well as judging routines on Floor, bars & beam & judging some vaults so that discussions can be had about how each judge came up with their score in the hope that after a few routines all judges are coming up with similar scores. We will also go through the Key Step criteria (ready for the competition in May) so judges know what to expect & how to judge these routines as a number of judges will be floor & vault judges who have not done a Key Step judging course.
Please could all clubs email me a list (on the table attached) of who will be attending. In order for me to organise judges for the competitions it would be useful for me to have all judges email addresses so I can contact them directly about their availability to judge at competitions. If the judges involved with your club are happy for you to give me their email addresses please could you list them on the table please. I have also asked you to list judges availability to judge at the competitions for the rest of the year. I am aware their availability may change but I just wanted to get the dates out to them & ask if they are presently available on those days to judge.
Please could you email the list back to me ASAP so I know how many judges & coaches to expect on the day & so I can also start looking into who could judge on 5th February as it is not far away.
